What is Programmatic? a 313 Digital Knowledge Event

What you’ve always wanted to learn about Programmatic digital advertising will be covered in a unique educational presentation from the IAB and audience participation trivia game. Build your team, bring your friends and learn about one of the hottest topics in digital advertising.

Carl Kalapesi, Director of Industry Initiatives, IAB

Carl Kalapesi is Director of Industry Initiatives at the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). He leads the IAB's initiatives on programmatic marketing (www.iab.net/programmatic) bringing together publishers, buyers and technology vendors to create value for all. He is also responsible for the IAB’s industry supply chain compliance and quality assurance program (www.iab.net/QAG), its work with Networks and Exchanges, on Performance Advertising and Multicultural marketing. He is responsible for helping improve the businesses of IAB members, both operationally and through meaningful industry thought leadership. He helps develop industry support and adoption for standards, guidelines and best practices.

The concept for the evening is to show up and either participate at an open table with others, not participate but observe or show up with a team of people. If you have enough for a table (10 people) than we could even put your company name on the table sign for your team.

In addition to Carl who will set the stage at the beginning of the evening with a great presentation and video on “What is Programmatic?”, we also have Andrea Watts (UM) and her fiancé and their company Trivia Workz who will be MCing the evening and interacting with the attendees, tables/teams. There will be great prizes for the top team answering most answers correctly and we will have some great door prizes also. Trivia Workz and Carl will interact with our expert panel that will be helping answer the trivia questions on programmatic. This panel consists of Kelly Schneider from Amnet, Drew Sayer from Cadreon and Ed Montes, CMO DataXU.

The event will be based inside The Detroit Mercantile awesome warehouse and food and drinks will be provided by Union Street. Detroit Mercantile is a fantastic location in Eastern Market, just off 75 and easy to get to. In addition to being one of the coolest store fronts selling Detroit branded merchandise, Detroit Mercantile has a completely refurbished warehouse space for events. Valet parking will be provided complimentary.
